Settlement - If you do get as far as filing a claim against an insurance company, they will probably try to get you to compromise, or to accept an immediate settlement. If you aren't aware of your rights, you could end up with less compensation than you deserve. I can help you make sure you get what you need and deserve to help you recover form your injuries. Policy Limits - Many people are also not aware of the way policy limits can influence their recovery. For example, A has a large claim - A was seriously injured. A's injuries and recovery will cost about $400,000. The person responsible, B, is broke. B also has a limited amount of insurance, a policy with a $50,000 limit. In this case, A would not get anywhere close to what A needs and deserves for the injuries. I can get the information you need to determine if this could happen in your case. Attorney Fees - In addition, A's attorney may be charging a fee of 1/3 - or more - of any monies paid out. And that fee often rises with more court appearances, appeals, and additional legal work. That means that A will not even come close to paying all of the bills! If we agree that I am going to be your attorney, I will charge a low rate of 25% of across the board. And I will not calculate my fee from the total recovery, but from what's left after your expenses and bills are taken care of.
